Types of Treatments

Depending on the root causes of your symptoms, we will use the following techniques:

Acupuncture

involves the insertion of hair-thin needles into specific points on the body.  Each acupuncture point has a specific function that will, depending on what we are trying to achieve, do things such as reduce inflammation, decrease pain, calm the nervous system, and increase energy.

Cupping

is a simple and effective therapeutic technique that involves localized suction that circulates fluids into and out of the area which in turn increases healing and alleviates pain.

Electro-acupuncture

is the use of acupuncture needles stimulated by a mild electric current. Research has shown that electroacupuncture triggers a nervous system response within the body, producing a cascade of anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effects.

Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM)

is a FDA–approved treatment for musculoskeletal pain. This treatment uses tissue specific electrical frequencies to support tissue healing. Clinical studies have shown its ability to increase cellular tissue repair as well as reduce systemic inflammation and pain. FSM has changed what is possible in chronic pain management. Successful treatment of chronic myofascial pain, nerve pain, disc and facet injuries along with bone, joint, tendon and ligament injuries are possible with this non-invasive therapy.

Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture & LED Light Therapy

is a minimally invasive technique that combats the signs of aging, UV damage, and noticeably improves facial appearance using the combination of acupuncture (to correct imbalances that contribute to the aging process) and an FDA approved LED device. Typical results include fine lines and wrinkles minimized, disappearing age spots, increased collagen production, toned facial muscles, and diminished acne breakouts. Visible results can be seen after the first treatment; dramatically improve your results with 6-10 sessions.

Gua Sha

is a healing technique of traditional East Asian medicine. Modern research shows an anti-inflammatory and immune protective effect that persists for days following a single treatment accounting for the immediate relief that patients feel from pain, stiffness, fever, chill, cough, and wheeze.

Tui Na

a distinct form of therapeutic massage aimed at reducing muscle tension, improving circulation, and inducing a state of complete physical and mental relaxation.

ACUPRESSURE

is a hands-on therapy that uses gentle, sustained pressure on specific points on the body to support the flow of energy, circulation, and relaxation. It is a non-invasive modality that can be especially supportive for patients who may not be able to receive acupuncture or who prefer a needle-free approach.

Far-Infrared Heat (FIR)

helps to assist the body in temporarily relieving minor muscle and joint pain. This therapy is particularly beneficial for people that suffer from Arthritis, lower back pain, or even just your everyday aches. Far infrared rays are more effective for pain relief than traditional heating pads because their rays penetrate 4-6 inches below the surface level of the skin.

Celluma Pro LED Light Therapy

is a modern approach to chronic pain management. The Celluma Pro is an FDA-cleared device that has the potential of an effective, non-invasive, safe, and cost-efficient means to treat and prevent a variety of acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. At specific wavelengths, light energy stimulates the release of nitric oxide, causing vasodilation and allowing more blood flow, oxygen, and other important factors to be delivered to sites of injured tissues.

Moxibustion

is the application of heat to a specific area of the body using an aromatic herb Artemesia vulgaris (mugwort).

Auricular acupuncture

is acupuncture on your ear. The ear is composed of over 200 points, each of which can regulate bodily functions due to the connection with the nervous system.
